Rockstar Games has announced a new DLC update for Grand Theft Auto V's online multiplayer mode: Lowriders. GTA Online is about to get a whole new set of sweet rides and customization options.

GTA fans and car lovers will get a kick when Lowriders goes official, as Rockstar Games introduces a new customs shop in downtown Strawberry called Benny's Original Motor Works. Players will be able to trick out their classic rides and turn them into flashy speed demons worthy of the streets of Los Santos.

Also, GTA Online players can head to Benny's website using their in-game phones, pick from an impressive selection of six excellent lowriders, and then they can go meet the man himself and receive an upgrade that'll unlock custom lowrider mods.

The options to pimp out your ride are almost endless.

"Deck out your engine block with covers and air filters, coat your interiors with velour, leather and patterns, choose custom colors and designs for your dials, or add a new steering wheel and custom shift levers," Rockstar Games posted on the news release for GTA Online's Lowriders update.

Aside from those sweet customizations, players can outfit their lowriders with hydraulics and strong pumps that'll really let them bounce, not to mention that they can be fitted with a set of speakers and subs to really beef up their sound systems.

When a ride is tricked out, it needs to be shown off. The Player Interaction Menu will let players open up their rides' hood, trunk or doors or turn on the engine to showcase their awesome neons while inside or outside the vehicle.

Also, GTA Online players are in for a treat, as the DLC comes packed with new Lamar missions, three Adversary modes and weapons — a machete and a machine pistol — at Ammu-Nation. Other than new clothing, hairstyles and accessories, players can buy a fourth property to keep even more rides.

Lowriders will be released on Oct. 20 next week for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Unfortunately, Xbox 360 and PS3 players will have to wait and see whether this or a big update like this will come to their platforms.
