In the English dictionary, the word 'spectre' means danger, threat or malice, but for Bond fans, it means that it's finally time for another one of James Bond's action packed missions. "Spectre," the latest Bond film, is the 24th instalment in the widely successful franchise, and it probably won't be the last.

Making a new "Bond" film probably came with a certain amount of pressure, following the magnificent success of "Skyfall" with its $1.1 billion earnings, two Oscar awards and a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for Best British film, not to mention brilliant reviews. The film reunites Director Sam Mendes with Daniel Craig who plays the iconic character, along with screenwriters John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the very same team responsible for "Skyfall" and its enormous success.

The reviews are out and various comments were made from Daniel Craig's lack of warmth being a little problematic and the film's confused nods to feminism. However, if there's one thing any review could not deny is that "Spectre" definitely packs a punch, with reviewers using words like "superb," "elegant," "captivating" and "jaw-dropping" to describe the film's exciting scenes. It's really not surprising given the film has an ensemble that will surely not disappoint — Ralph Feinnes and two-time Oscar winner Christopher Waltz lend their talents to the film.

Of course, we can't fail to mention the film's lead, Daniel Craig, who, despite expressing that he would "rather slash his wrists than play James Bond again," perfectly brought his very own flair of tough bravado to the iconic character, successfully adding depth to the character as Bond's psyche is further explored in the film.

With the reviews already out, it seems clear that Sam Mendes has created a superb and thrilling film that's both nostalgic and reminiscent of classic Bond films but with a flair that's entirely its own. "Spectre" comes packed with a whole lot of excitement from car chases to perfectly timed explosions to elegant views from all over the world - the film's locations include Mexico, Morocco and Austria. Even without comparisons to "Skyfall," "Spectre" seems ready to be another great addition to the 007 canon that any Bond fan will certainly not want to miss.
