The Destiny 2 beta for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will launch next week, and fans of the original Destiny should not pass up on the chance to get their first look at the highly anticipated sequel.

Destiny 2 will launch on Sept. 6 for consoles and on Oct. 24 on Battle.net for the PC. PlayStation fans will also be able to pick up a $449.99 bundle on that date that includes the Destiny 2 Digital Deluxe Edition and the Glacier White PlayStation 4 Pro.

Destiny 2 Beta: Here's Everything You Need To Know

For gamers who pre-ordered the game, the Destiny 2 beta will launch on July 18, 10:00 a.m. PST for the PlayStation 4 and one day later on July 19, 10:00 a.m. PST for the Xbox One. For gamers who did not pre-order the game, the Destiny 2 beta will be unlocked on July 21, 10:00 a.m. PST.

The Destiny 2 beta will last until July 23, 9:00 p.m. PST. PlayStation 4 gamers who pre-ordered Destiny 2 will be able to spend the most time on the shooter's beta, for a total of 131 hours. Meanwhile, players who decided to try out the game before pre-ordering it will have a total of 59 hours to see if they will buy Destiny 2.

Players who pre-ordered Destiny 2 through the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store will only have to wait for the Destiny 2 beta to appear in their library for downloading. For those who pre-ordered the game in other retailers, they should have received a nine-digit code that they will have to redeem on Bungie's website. After doing so, a notification will be sent through email that will provide access to the Destiny 2 beta.

Players will not have to wait until at least July 18 before they can start downloading the Destiny 2 beta, though. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will be able to start pre-loading the beta on July 13, 10:00 a.m. PST.

The Destiny 2 beta will include Homecoming, the opening story mission; two Crucible modes, Countdown and Control; the cooperative Strike, The Inverted Spire; three new sub-classes, the Dawnblade Warlock, the Arcstrider Hunter, and the Sentinel Titan; and the social space, The Farm.

Destiny 2 On The PC

One of the biggest selling points of Destiny 2 over its predecessor is that the sequel is also coming to the PC.

PC players will be able to try out a Destiny 2 beta in late August. No specific date and time has been released for the Destiny 2 PC beta.

While waiting for more details, PC gamers can now start linking their Blizzard accounts with their Bungie.net profiles. Players can head to the account setting page of their Bungie profiles, access Linked Accounts, and click on the Blizzard link.
