Study Shows Steep Breeding Decline In Puffin Colony

The population of Scotland’s large puffins has considerably declined over the last 30 years, according to a new study conducted by the Fair Isle Bird Observatory. From an estimated number of 20,000 individual birds during the 1980s, the puffins are now down to only 10,000.
