Overwatch, one of the most anticipated games arriving on PC, will also get released to consoles, at least according to GameStop.

Game Informer spoke with a local retail outlet of GameStop and confirmed that the game will be available for $59.99 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

This news comes just a day before the beginning of Blizzard Entertainment's BlizzCon, where it's likely the company will confirm Overwatch's release on consoles.

Overwatch is Blizzard's upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter title, originally announced in 2014 at BlizzCon. The game encourages co-op play and started its closed beta earlier this year. In the title, players take on hero characters, each with its own skills and abilities. These players form squads to take on combat with opposing players.

Overwatch takes place in the near future after the "Omnic Crisis," when humanity was threatened by Omnic robots with advanced AI. The Overwatch organization formed to protect humanity and continued to do so until after it became corrupted and eventually disbanded.

It's likely that this year's BlizzCon will see more details emerge about Overwatch, as well as a confirmation of its release date, although GameStop suggests that this date is in December, 2015. Also, GameStop's report on the price suggests that it isn't free-to-play, although no information has come out yet stating if it will require a monthly subscription fee, such as Blizzard's World of Warcraft, which costs $15 per month.

Blizzard was at odds recently over the trademark for the Overwatch name, after a company claimed that it applied for the rights to the name in 2013 for a mobile app. The company sued Blizzard, but settled earlier this week, indicating that Blizzard probably paid a lot of money to acquire the rights just in time for the game's public release.

BlizzCon starts tomorrow at 11 a.m. PST/2 p.m. EST. Gamers can view the opening ceremony live and free via the Xbox One. Others can view the festivities via the BlizzCon virtual ticket, which is available on Blizzard's website for $39.99.

The beta also included Blizzard's Battle.net voice chat.

"We're in the process of working in some slight updates to Battle.net in preparation for the upcoming Overwatch beta test, and wanted to give you the heads up," wrote Blizzard on its website. "This update will lay the foundation for us to test voice chat functionality within the Overwatch beta."
