Samsung has revealed that the price of its 105-inch curved 4K Ultra HD TV will be set at $119,999.99.

The curved UN105S9W, originally named the 105U9500, will not be made in bulk. It will be on a made-to-order status, seemingly because Samsung knows that there will not be a huge demand for the high-priced TV.

The UN105S9W uses Samsung's unique UHD Dimming and Precision Black, which allows the TV to display blacks that are deeper and whites that are brighter compared to other TVs.

The TV also comes with a mode called Quad Screen, which allows users to split up the TV's screen into four, smaller HD TVs. Users can choose to have different kinds of content displaying on the four screens, such as watching local programming, streaming video, surfing the Web and playing video games all at the same time.

The TV will feature an aspect ratio of 21:9, which will be more compatible with the ratio used by ultra-widescreen movies compared to the standard aspect ratio of 16:9 that is used by most HD TV shows.

The wider shape caused by the curved screen of the UN105S9W results into a resolution of 5,120 by 2,160 pixels, which is just over a massive 11 million pixels in total.

Customers that purchase the UN105S9W should expect about a 12-week wait before receiving the TV. Samsung said that it will also send field engineers, under the "Samsung Elite Service" program, along with the delivery so that the setup of the TV can be personalized according to the needs of the user and the space available for the TV.

Additional purchases that can be made for the UN105S9W is a specially designed wall mount for the TV and the company's Evolution Kit, which is where new software can be installed and new hardware such as connectors can be added to the TV so that the technology will continue to be useful for many years to come.

The UN105S9W uses the Smart Hub of Samsung, which gives users the ability to display pictures, videos and streaming content such as those accessed through Netflix.

The UN105S9W, along with Samsung's whole line of new, curved UHD TVs was first announced last January at CES 2014 in Las Vegas.

Samsung's announcement of the line of curved UHD TVs follows the company's strong introduction of UHD TVs the previous year.

"The combination of our curved design and UHD picture quality creates the ultimate immersive entertainment experience for people passionate about entertainment. Samsung is well-positioned to meet UHD demand with our new roster of beautifully designed, feature-packed and future-ready Smart TVs," Samsung Electronics vice president for visual display business Hyun Suk Kim then said in a statement.
