There is no denying that everyone is buzzing about the latest Star Wars film that hits theaters in just two weeks. And now Verizon is hopping on the bandwagon by offering customers a way to awaken the force on their smartphones.

Verizon Wireless is giving away Star Wars-themed Google Cardboard VR viewers in select stores nationwide, starting today.

The Force Awakens Google Cardboard headsets have four different character options, including a Stormtrooper, R2-D2, BB8 and Kylo Ren.

Bringing the galaxy that is far, far away closer then ever, those who pick up the Google Cardboard headsets are encouraged to download the Star Wars app to immerse themselves in the virtual reality experience.

The Jakkku Spy VR experience features a story that is tied directly to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. While we aren't too sure what this story is yet, users are believed to receive nine VR messages that reveal something about the film.

The app also brings the film's theatrical poster to life, reads Star Wars news, get sound effects, and even features a new augmented reality character.

The Star Wars app is free to download for iOS and Android.

Of course the app will work with any VR headset, but these Star Wars versions can be saved as a collector's item and be used for all your VR needs.

Verizon Wireless only has 200,000 Star Wars Google VR headsets in stock, so make sure you rush over to the nearest location to get your hands on one. Customers can find a participating store by entering their location on the company's website.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18.
