The Apple Watch now retails at an affordable price of $49 at Best Buy.

Fans who have been planning to get their hands on the wearable from Apple should go and check out the offer at a Best Buy physical store. However, there are certain things that they have to keep in mind before they start to go shopping.

Best Buy currently offers the low price of $49 as the purchase price of the 38 millimeter Sport model of the Apple Watch. At this price, customers can also choose any band color they want. These can include sport bands in white, orange, blue, black, lavender, stone, antique white, midnight blue and more.

In order to qualify, customers would have to trade in an iPhone 5 or a newer model with the use of a guaranteed Best Buy gift card that has a $200 value. They can also opt to buy or lease any iPhone and have it activated with a 2-year contract. The participating carriers are Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint.

Customers will also be able to save as much as $100 on an iPhone under a 2-year contract.

Originally, the Apple Watch Sport is priced at either $349 or $399. This means customers can save as much as 14 percent when they decide to purchase the wearable through Best Buy's holiday shopping offer.

Apple touts the Watch as being designed with durable fluoroelastomer bands which are surprisingly flexible, light and soft.

"Because it's made from a custom high-performance fluoroelastomer, the Sport Band is durable and strong, yet surprisingly soft," said Apple. "The smooth, dense material drapes elegantly across your wrist and feels comfortable next to your skin. An innovative pin-and-tuck closure ensures a clean fit. Available in a range of stylish colors."

According to Best Buy, the iPhone models that are valid for trade-in include the iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus. The phone must also be in good condition in order to be eligible.

"Not all phones are eligible for trade-in and trade-in value may vary," said Best Buy. "Excludes phones that are cracked or that lack power. Carriers, coverage and products may vary by store."

Best Buy is running the promotion until Jan. 9, 2016. Customers can only make a purchase by going to a Best Buy physical store.
