It wasn't too long ago, reports have cropped up suggesting that Samsung's most recent Galaxy device, the Galaxy S7, will have two full days of battery life on a single charge, based on a tweet posted by famous Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin. Murtazin, however, has pushed out another tweet clarifying he did not say anything about the Galaxy S7's 48-hour battery life.

Samsung's next big thing is undoubtedly one step closer to being released, which is why the Galaxy S7 continues to dominate tons of leaks. Last week, Murtazin published a tweet indicating that the Galaxy S7 will boast a whopping 17 hours of video playback at maximum brightness.

A few days after, he has once again posted a follow-up tweet.

Reports were quick to assume that the blogger's post was about the Galaxy S7 sporting up to two days of battery life on a single charge, with regular usage at 75 percent brightness. Upon seeing articles claiming that his post indicated he was referring to a Galaxy S7, Murtazin then posted another tweet saying that some "incorrectly read" what he has written.

"Here the claim that these are my screenshots with S7, but it isn't) incorrectly read what I write," he says (via Twitter translation, as posted by Android Police).

He later clarified that his post was based on his experience with a Galaxy A5 and A7.

The Galaxy S7 is believed to come packed with a 3,000 mAh battery under its hood, which is way more humongous than the 2,550 mAh battery powering its predecessor. It is also expected to come fitted with optimized hardware. On top of that, rumor has it that the phone will take advantage of Android 6.0 Marshmallow's Doze mode. With Doze, inactive handsets are put into a deep sleep state and apps are cut off from the network until they are needed. At any rate, there is no doubt the phone's battery life should improve.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 alongside its bigger sibling Galaxy S7 edge will be unwrapped later within the month, at a Samsung Unpacked event on Feb. 21 to be exact. The 2016 Mobile World Congress will commence after the said event in Barcelona.

As always, we'll keep you posted on any additional details as they become available.
