Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be the core building block of DC's cinematic universe and the upcoming Justice League films. As such, it will introduce a number of heroes that audiences will be seeing time and time again in the years ahead: Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and, of course, Batman and Superman.

What's been uncertain thus far is whether or not Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, would make an appearance. He's an essential part of the Justice League team, but so far it's unclear if the character will be making an appearance in Zack Snyder's upcoming film.

There are rumors, of course. More than a few fans peg actor Dan Amboyer, who is listed on the film's IMDB page as a Drone Pilot, as secretly being Hal Jordan. Amboyer, who says he is actually playing a character named Lieutenant Christie, isn't spilling the beans, but he did offer up a few clues in a recent interview with Pop Sugar.

Though sworn to secrecy, he talked a bit about what it was like working on the film's set and his history of auditioning for DC comic characters.

"But what I thought was really interesting was that they filmed a lot of it on film, not digital," Amboyer says. "So a lot of the sets were actually built. So, all of a sudden, you're on another planet, literally. Everything is so intricate and perfect. You think so much of that is just CGI and postproduction, but it was actually there."

The phrase "you're on another planet, literally" is clue number one. Considering Green Lantern's cosmic roots, if Amboyer did film scenes on another planet, it certainly adds some credibility to the rumor that he is none other than Hal Jordan.

That wasn't the only clue Amboyer dropped. Later on in the interview, Amboyer revealed that his character's identity is "kind of an undercover thing" and when asked about his favorite color, Amboyer had this to say:

"Blue," he responds. "Definitely blue, but I appreciate nature as well and everything green."

Different planets. An appreciation of the color green? Is Amboyer just having some fun with fans or might he actually be Green Lantern? Considering he says he auditioned for parts both as Superman in Man of Steel and as the Flash, the chance of him accepting a minor "Drone Pilot" role in Batman v. Superman seems awfully slim. Our money is on Amboyer actually being Hal Jordan, but we'll have to wait another month to find out for sure. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters March 25.
