Timeless

America's future is at stake when a criminal, played by Goran Visnjic, gets hold of a secret time machine that allows him to change events in the past to destroy the country. A scientist, a soldier, and a history professor must work together to stop the time-traveling criminal.

The series will also star Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit.

Great News

Although her show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was kicked off NBC and landed on Netflix, Tina Fey is back with her own series and the same team behind 30 Rock. Fey stars as a back-to-work mother who interns at the cable news network where her daughter works.

Great News is bound to be a great comedy that pokes fun at the world of network and cable TV and explores mother-daughter relationships with the flavor that only Tina Fey can bring to the table.

Marlon

Another comedy ordered by the peacock network will be based on the life of Marlon Wayans. Marlon will also star the comedian as a dad who must co-parent with his ex-wife, played by Essence Atkins.

Chicago Justice

Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise is in its fourth iteration with Chicago Justice. The team was already introduced to fans in an episode of Chicago P.D. This time, the series will focus on a group of lawyers and prosecutors in the Windy City.

Starring in this spinoff are Philip Winchester, Carl Weathers, Nazneen Contractor, Ryan-James Hatanaka, Joelle Carter, and Lorraine Toussaint, who reprises her Law & Order  role as the all-or-nothing Shambala Green.

The Good Place

The afterlife turns out to be The Good Place for Ted Danson in this comedy. But not so good for his on-screen protegee, Eleanor Shellstrop, who will be played by Kristen Bell. Shellstrop somehow gets mixed up in a case of afterlife mistaken identity, which saves her from a life in “the bad place.” She realizes she has not been a very good person and it's up to her new mentor to set her straight.

This Is Us

Mandy Moore and Sterling K. Brown share a birthday and so much more in this new ensemble dramedy by Dan Fogelman.

Midnight, Texas

Vampires, werewolves and angels ... what else would you expect from a series inspired by books from the author who also created True Blood? Charlaine Harris' Midnight, Texas takes the supernatural out of Beau Temps and into a safehaven in a remote town where a strong, unlikely community and family are formed.

The series will star Francoise Arnaud, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Dylan Bruce, Sarah Ramos, Arielle Kebbel, Peter Mensah, Yul Vazquez, and Sean Bridges.

Cruel Intentions

A pilot made as a followup to the 1999 film was deemed too scandalous and was axed before it was even aired. But this time, Sarah Michelle Gellar is back to reprise her role as the seductive and conniving Kathryn Merteuil. She's a big girl now and will stop at nothing to gain control of Valmont International and the son of her dearly departed brother, Sebastian.

Powerless

DC Comics fans are already looking forward to Powerless, which will star Vanessa Hudgens as a regular person working as an insurance adjuster. The setting is in a town full of super heroes who can't help but cause a headache of claims in their attempts to save the world and helpless citizens.

The workplace comedy shows Hudgens being a regular hero to her clients even though she has no super powers herself.

Trial & Error

A big city lawyer played by Nicholas D’Agosto leaves New York for his first big case in a tiny Southern town. But his client, John Lithgow, proves to be quite a handful as a poetry professor who does “rollercize,” accused of killing his wife. His temporary law office is set up behind a taxidermy shop. The lawyer is supported by a team of quirky locals, helping him defend his client who keeps making himself look guilty.

Taken

See how Bryan Mills, from the Taken  films, got to have his particular set of skills in this new series set as a modern day prequel to the movies. This time, Clive Standen from Vikings takes on the role made famous by Liam Neeson.

Emerald City

The Land of Oz was not all lollipops and bubble-riding good witches as the MGM musical would have you think. Emerald City is a series that presents the darker side of the stories penned by author Frank L. Baum. The on-off series finally got a 10-episode order from NBC.

Dorothy Gale is 20 years old and her K9 police dog is thrown by a tornado out of Kansas and into a land where kingdoms vie for power and supremacy, dark magic abounds everywhere, and dead witches don't stay dead for very long.
