There's cosplay and there's body art, and then there's Kay Pike, who always kicks her creativity up a notch.

Pike isn't just a body paint artist, she is an artiste, and this time she's painted herself to look exactly like the anime version of Piccolo from Dragon Ball.

What sets Pike's work apart from what many other body paint artists do is that she creates the exact lines, shading and colors from the original artwork, so that she looks like a walking and talking live cartoon.

Pike has already impressed Batman fans with her Poison Ivy body paint creation, but she's also done a full collection of superhero-related characters, including Batman, the Joker, Two-Face and Booster Gold, as well as other anime characters, such as Neon Genesis Evangelion's Asuka.

Here's her incredible work on Piccolo: it's perfect until she smiles and you see her real teeth.

Pike also added antennae to complete Piccolo's look.

Here's another example of the work she's done, this time with time-lapse photography that shows her process:

Pike is a cosplay model, fashion designer and mix artist, who is currently exploring the art form of body paint. For those interested in her process, she also has videos of how she created some of these characters by painting herself on her YouTube channel. She also often live-streams her work on Twitch.

"I have always been playing with my appearance, I remember making myself up (and kids I was babysitting) as all sorts of wild characters in my childhood," Pike writes on Patreon. "While in high school I would eat lunch in the art-room and often show up to class wearing special FX makeup. During my costuming hobby days I experimented with body paint for characters like Gamora. It was so fun and easy being green I became comfortable in full paint in a hurry."

Fans of Pike's work can help support her through her Patreon site by donating: proceeds will go to buy paint, as well as other materials she needs to complete each piece.
