Dishonored fans will soon get to read more about the adventures of assassin Corvo Attano in a new series of comic books and novels.

Comic book and novel publisher Titan recently released information about the new books, which will lead up to the release of Dishonored 2 this fall.

A miniseries of four comic books will fill in the blanks between events that happened in Dishonored and events that will happen in Dishonored 2. Writing the comic is Gordon Rennie, with artwork by Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo.

According to Titan's description of the comic book, the series will pick up 12 years after Corvo clears his name in Empress Jessamine's murder. Here is the rest of the description:

"Now a little older and perhaps a little wiser, Corvo sets his sights on the future and securing an apprentice to continue his legacy. But when confronted by an impossible face from his past, the supernaturally gifted assassin finds himself drawn once again into an otherworldly conspiracy, one that threatens to shake the very foundations of his ancient city."

Fans can grab the first issue in August, with a collected edition available in November.

Titan also plans on releasing a trilogy of novels based on Dishonored. The first book is Dishonored - The Corroded Man by Adam Christopher and refers to itself as "the official sequel to the blockbuster video game from Arkane Studios." That book comes out in September.

Dishonored 2 will allow players to choose whether they want to play as Corvo or Emily. The second game in the franchise takes place 15 years after the Dunwall Plague. In the game, Empress Emily becomes suddenly dethroned by an usurper. After becoming an outlaw, Emily takes on the life of an assassin, in the footsteps of Corvo, to take on the usurper and regain her throne.

Bethesda announced Dishonored 2  during its E3 presentation last year. Here's the trailer they showed during the game. The company also made sure that fans knew that everything seen here was possible within gameplay.

Much like the first title, players can choose how they progress through the game: with guns blazing, with stealth or with a combination of the two.

Dishonored 2 hits PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 11.
