The Division patch 1.3 for PS4 is now rolling out for those on Sony systems after about a week of delay.

PS4 consoles reportedly got the late treatment because of an exclusivity contract between Ubisoft and Microsoft. While the 1.3 patch is finally out now, the contract still applies to the latest downloadable content (DLC) expansion for The Division, dubbed Underground, which will arrive later on Aug. 2 for the Sony community.

Underground DLC

PS4 console users will usually have to wait for a whole month every time a new DLC lands, barring them from getting their hands on new content.

For instance, PC and Xbox players are now reaping the benefits from infiltrations made into newly unlocked underground missions brought by the DLC. A new incursion map, "Dragon's Nest," has been added as well, alongside four new gear sets optimized for players' varying gameplay styles.

In any case, the good news is that PS4 console gamers have, at the very least, finally caught up with most of the new content thanks to the 1.3 patch, deployed in an estimated 3-hour-long server downtime period last July 5 to make way for its maintenance.

General changes include bug fixes that address the issues encountered from "Value Target NPCs." These characters should now drop "Target Intel," as well as not cap at a maximum level of 30. Server-wise, overall gameplay should now be smoother on the massively multiplayer online (MMO) shooter with a more stable server, which would previously kick players out from the game.

Tom Clancy's The Division Patch 1.3

As for some specifics on the 1.3 patch for The Division, the update brings three exclusive and redeemable full outfits from UBI30, featured in Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Splinter Cell. An "AlphaBridge" gear set has also been added, which should allow players to gain the full bonuses from all of their equipped weapon talents.

Three new assault rifles, two marksman rifles, two pistols and one submachine gun have been added to the game's existing line of weapons, as well as a new high-end "named" weapon, "The Showstopper," a full-auto shotgun that works well in close-range scenarios.

The highly anticipated "Heroic Mode" gives players new challenges to overcome as it adds another layer of difficulty for main missions and incursions: opponents will be tougher but the rewards will be better. Dailies, on the other hand, will not be supporting heroic difficulties.

Other changes include a new extension for the base of operations, weapon recalibration functions, expanded player stash size and much more.

These details can be accessed through the game's 1.3 patch notes, while PS4 gamers patiently waiting for the Underground DLC may watch its announcement trailer below:
