Gravity Rush 2 fans should know that SIE Japan Studio, the games' creators, unveiled the official release date for the game.
Specifically, North American players will get their hands on the title on Dec. 2, while European players will get to play it three days in advance, on Nov. 30. An important thing to keep in mind is that Gravity Rush 2 is a sequel to the PS Vita original game that landed in 2012, and it will be playable on PlayStation 4 only.
Those who choose to preorder the title from special retailers will get a bonus in the form of Kat's white costume and Select Soundtrack containing nine audio tracks from the game (Director's Choice Soundtrack). Ordering on the PSN comes with 10 avatars inspired by the game.
If you are not familiar with the story behind Gravity Rush 2, read on.
The adventure features gravity queen Kat as she must face a new danger that threatens the fabric of the universe. As she looks to understand the mystery of her becoming, Kat has to become proficient in three unique gravity attack styles, which aid her in the battles with regular enemies and huge bosses. By her side, gamers have the powerful and faithful Raven.
Gravity Rush 2 will introduce a slew of new characters, including the mysterious guardian angel called Angel (surprising, we know) who appears like a deus ex machine each time Kat runs into trouble. Angel is rumored to be a protagonist featuring a wild and aggressive fighting style. Angel will come with an overwhelming punch as an added ability to her attacks, and a powerful regeneration tool in the form of a crystallization ability, by which she will go back to full health instantly.
Prior to the release of Gravity Rush 2, Sony plans to unveil an anime dubbed "Gravity Rush: The Animation - Overture." In the animated series, which is to come out in November or December 2016, Sony aims to bridge the story gap between the original game and the upcoming installment. As an additional incentive to watch it, you should know that Studio Khara is in charge of the anime's production. Studio Khara is famed for its commended work on "Rebuild of Evangelion."
