Halo fans "finished the fight" in Halo 3 more than seven years ago, and while the game looked impressive at the time, it doesn't hold a candle to what is possible now.

Thankfully, that's where Halo: The Master Chief Collection comes in. Coming to Xbox One on Nov. 11, the collection assembles Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, a reimagined and remastered anniversary version of Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4. The game will also include beta access to Halo 5: Guardians.

While Halo 3 won't be getting the huge graphical update that Halo 2 is receiving, that doesn't mean there won't improvements. For the first time, Halo 3 will be playable in high-definition 1080p and running at 60 frames-per-second, something that seemed impossible back when the game released in 2007.

It's absolutely gorgeous. While those who didn't play the game originally might not be able to tell much of a difference, any devoted Halo fan can immediately see the game is running smoother than ever before. Watch it for yourself below, courtesy of IGN, who has been exploring what the Master Chief Collection will offer all month in various videos and features.

Framerate and high-definition improvements are coming to every game included in the collection. While IGN has highlighted gameplay from the original Halo, Halo 2 and now Halo 3, so far they haven't shown what kind of small improvements have been made to Halo 4. With the power of the Xbox One, the developers should be able to make the game look just a little bit better and run a little smoother, but it will for sure be the game that has been touched the least in the collection. No matter what game is being played, gamers can rest assured knowing they are playing the best looking version of each Halo available.
