Microsoft has listed the unlocked version of Alcatel Idol 4S on its official website.

The Windows variant of the Alcatel Idol 4S, which is already available from T-Mobile in the United States, is now available for purchase from Microsoft's online store as well.

Pairing experience and productivity, the Alcatel Idol 4S comes in two variants — Android and Windows. The smartphone was introduced by the company at the MWC 2016 and hit the U.S. shelves in July.

The handset went up for preorder for just $349.99 and came bundled with the VR headset.

Alcatel Idol 4S Specs

The Alcatel Idol 4S weighs around 152 grams and is 0.27 inches thick. It has a 2.5D glass body with Halo Gold metal trim.

The Alcatel Idol 4S boasts a 5.5 inch AMOLED full HD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

The handset that runs on Windows 10 is equipped with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 MSM8996, which is clocked at 2.15 GHz. The Alcatel Idol 4S houses 4 GB of RAM and has an on-board storage capacity of 64 GB, which can be expanded up to an additional 128 GB with a microSD card.

The Alcatel handset is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery that offers a maximum talk time of 800 minutes on a single charge. The smartphone also offers Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The Alcatel Idol 4S sports a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and Dual Tone flash, while the front-facing snapper is 8 megapixels.

With this smartphone, users will that feel they have a personal computer in their pocket. The presence of Continuum and Windows 10 will help sync all the office documents easily across the device.

Another feature that may lure consumers is the fingerprint sensor. The handset also has a 3.55 mm audio jack with a dual Hi-Fi multi directional speaker. The Idol 4S has Bluetooth 4.1 and a Type-C USB port.

This Alcatel Idol 4S is the world's first Windows 10 Smartphone that comes packing with a VR headset in tow. As reported, the Android version of the Alcatel Idol 4S has hit the shelves sans any VR headset.

The Windows variant of the Alcatel Idol 4S bears a price tag of $470 and can now be purchased from Microsoft's online store. You also get the VR headset with this purchase for no additional cost.

However, if you buy the smartphone from T-Mobile you may save some money as the carrier is selling it for $432. There is also a monthly payment option, which will set consumers back by $18 each month.
