The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones have been updated to the Android 7.0 Nougat update and the much-awaited OS brings in its folds a slew of exciting features.

One of the features that will find favor with users is the beauty mode, which enhances the capabilities of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge's rear-facing camera.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have impressive camera sensors with the dual pixel focus systems. Both the smartphones are equipped with a 12MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter.

Beauty Mode: What Is It?

Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge cameras are already endowed with features like pro mode, food mode and hyperlapse, which makes the Samsung flagship's stand out from its rivals.

The beauty mode lets users click photographs, especially portraits and imparts a glossy and blemish free look to the images. The said feature already existed for the front camera but could not be used while clicking portraits with the primary camera. With this update, the barrier has been broken and the feature has been extended to both the primary and secondary cameras.

How To Use The Mode

One can follow the steps below and use the beauty mode brought by the Android Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

Step 1: Open the camera app and select the rear camera option.

Step 2: Next, near the shutter button on the right side of the screen you will spot the skin tone changing option.

Step 3: Use the tone option you prefer.

Remember that this mode only works best for portraits where the face of the subject is clearly visible. Therefore, ensure it you are not standing far away from the camera while taking a picture using this mode.

The mode allows the users to adjust the skin tone according to their liking and works for videos as well. The tone can be adjusted according to different levels and the advanced settings are available on the secondary camera. These options such as big eyes, slimmer face are missing from the current beauty mode for the rear camera. Hopefully, Samsung will include these in a new update.

For users using another version of Android on their smartphones, but who wish to use the beauty mode, the best way to go about it is by downloading the beauty face mode from the camera app.

Even though the skin tone option remains the same, the only exception is that the user in this case will have to manually switch over to the face mode option each time to use the beauty mode.
