Guillermo del Toro has finally sent Warner Bros. his script for Justice League Dark, otherwise known as Dark Universe. We've been hearing a lot about this possible film in the past, and it appears now as if it could be gracing theaters in the distant future.

Now, a lot of people might be wondering what Justice League Dark is about and if it contains notable heroes. Well, let us attempt to answer this question in the most understandable way possible without burning young minds to a crisp.

Justice League Dark or Dark Universe is a team of lesser heroes who mainly deal with the occult. These guys take on the jobs that are far too crazy for the likes of Superman and Batman to comprehend. The heroes of this group include the master of the dark arts and conman John Constantine, along with Deadman, Swamp Thing, and many others.

From what we understand, if Warner Bros. finds the script pleasing, the movie would be separate from the DC Cinematic Universe. It means Justice League Dark would be a film all to itself, set in its own universe. Will there ever be crossovers? Probably not, but anything is possible here.

Forbes reports Warner Bros. will review del Toro's script, and after a few days of doing so, the decision will be made on whether or not to give del Toro a budget to work with and also a potential release date.

We are certain that many fans won't be pleased to learn that Justice League Dark might not be part of the cinematic world. It is not clear if a crossover is planned for the future, though, it seems unlikely.

This move is similar to Warner Bros. locking down Shazam to its own universe, but we have heard that if everything goes according to plan, heroes of the cinematic universe and Shazam's universe might one day cross paths.

If Warner Bros. greenlights this film into production, we would love if Keanu Reeves reprises his role as John Constantine. We've long wanted to see him return to the role, and he himself has shown interest in stepping back into the shoes of the conman, a.k.a. master of the dark arts.
