Fans of Dragon Ball FighterZ finally get the first pair of DLC characters this month. On March 28, Bardock and Broly officially join the game's roster.

The announcement comes shortly after Bandai Namco posted teasers on Twitter about the brawler's first post-launch content. The two combatants will be immediately available for owners who got certain retail versions of the game, which comes with the FighterZ Pass or purchased it separately.

Those interested can grab it now for $35 to get access to all of the eight upcoming post-launch characters, including the aforementioned duo.

Brolly And Bardock Join The Fight

Earlier reports also noted some speculation suggesting that the first of many Commentator Voice Packs will also launch on the same day. The optional content will allow players to switch the default announcer's voice of the game into Dragon Ball Z female mainstays Videl, Chichi, or Android 18.

Those who are familiar with fighting games developed by Arc System Works, such as Guilty Gear Xrd and Blazblue, know well that the option to change the system voice is somewhat expected.

It should be interesting to hear the blow-by-blow comments voiced by different voice actors with their character's respective personalities in play.

'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Gameplay Trailers And More

Details on how Broly and Bardock will play remain limited to what the short clips of in-game action showcased in the gameplay trailers. As it appears, the legendary Super Saiyan sports some moves that are comparable to that of Android 16. His massive frame makes him tower over most of the roster in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

On the other hand, Goku's father seems to be a heavy-hitting version of the anime's main protagonist. Surprisingly, one of his Super Moves actually sees him transform into a Super Saiyan and unleash a devastating combo, which ends with an upward ki blast.

Since its release, fans of the anime have reportedly enjoyed some of the game's dramatic finishes, where special post-match animations are triggered by certain fighters. The latest issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump reveals that the two upcoming fighters will likewise have their own.

Once Goku defeats Broly, a cutscene would trigger, wherein the former performs the "Miracle Blow" attack just like in the movie. Meanwhile, as Frieza wins over Bardock, the scene plays out just the same in the film as the antagonist destroys both the latter and Planet Vegeta in a single attack.

Rumored DLC Characters

Now that Broly and Bardock are confirmed, six more DLC characters have yet to be revealed for Dragon Ball FighterZ. It possibly lends credence to a previously leaked list of post-launch DLC characters that includes Vegito, Normal Goku, Normal Vegeta, Zamasu, Android 17, and Cooler.

Bandai Namco will likely release a new set of teasers after March 28, which shall confirm whether the leak is legit or not.
