Destiny 2: Warmind features new campaign missions, new strikes, and a new raid lair, but fans are most excited about the Sleeper Simulant.

The Sleeper Simulant is an exotic fusion rifle from the original game that has returned in Destiny 2 with the Warmind expansion.

Step 1: Complete The 'Warmind' Campaign

The powerful fan-favorite weapon can be acquired after completing an Exotic weapon quest. This quest can only be unlocked after players have completed the story campaign of the Rasputin-centric expansion.

It shouldn't take long, given that the campaign only has about five missions. The last couple of missions are a little more difficult but once players hit level 30, they should be able to complete the missions with ease.

Step 2: Complete Two More Missions For Ana Bray

After the campaign is over, Ana Bray will assign the player two more missions. Rasputin will give the player an engram, which is later unlocked to reveal an IKELOS hand cannon that will accompany the player for a very long time.

Step 3: Get Precision Kills

Next, the player will receive a new quest step asking to get precision kills on Mars with the newly obtained IKELOS hand cannon. The weapon is actually pretty awesome and has a rampage perk that stacks up to three times for big damage.

However, the challenge is that the player needs about 600 headshot kills, 300 Hive, and 300 Cabal. The Hive kills won't take up much time as opposed to the Cabal kills because Acolytes can be killed with a single headshot while Legionnaire usually requires two shots.

Step 4: Kill Powerful Enemies

This quest step is easier than the last and can be completed in any location. The task at hand is to kill a bunch of Yellow Bar enemies with the IKELOS hand cannon equipped.

The player does not need to get the kills with it; just have it equipped while killing the elites. It is recommended to use Public Events to complete this step quickly

Step 5: Beat Five Heroic Strikes

Beating five Heroic Strikes might sound easy but in Warmind, the Heroic Strikes have been set at a power level of 350. It means that the difficulty has been increased dramatically, and completing five of them won't be an easy task.

Step 6: Nodes And Protocols

This is the hardest and longest quest step of them all. Players have to complete two challenges: First, complete three Escalation Protocol Levels, and second, open 15 Sleeper Nodes with the weapon equipped.

Escalation Protocol is the hardest activity in the game. However, a player is not required to complete the first three levels. He/she can simply play through the first level three times in order to complete this step.

The Sleeper Nodes step, on the other hand, is quite easy. To unlock each one, the player will need to combine four Resonance Stems, which can be obtained from Patrol Missions, Public Events, Lost Sectors, and so on.

Step 7: Clear Three Rounds of Hive Escalation Protocol

This quest step, again, needs to be completed with the hand cannon equipped. The player does not need to get to round 3 and can instead just play round 1 three times. However, it won't be a walk in the park, considering that the Hive Escalation Protocol starts at a power level of 370.

Step 8: 'Will Of The Thousands'

This is the final step of the Sleeper Simulant quest and it requires the player to replay the titular mission/strike with the IKELOS hand cannon equipped. It's important to note that this has a recommended power level of 360.

Once players complete this step, they can finally unlock the Sleeper Simulant.
