AT&T knows that gadgets like smartphones are the best gift for guys. Therefore, an iPhone X BOGO deal is available this weekend for Father's Day.

An Offer Difficult To Pass Up On

Retailers always look forward to special occasions to come up with offers to attract consumers. Wireless service providers are no different and these companies find novel ways to grab a new subscriber. Since this weekend celebrates all things related to being a dad, people might shop for a great deal to give away as a gift.

The new AT&T offer gives people a chance to own Apple's latest smartphone and technically get another one for free. Unlike other promotions, sources note that the deal does not require a trade-in, which is a common practice to offset the cost of the device.

Most people would agree that the company makes it hard for people to ignore the opportunity to grab two flagship models. Moreover, this two-for-one campaign seems like a solid one give that one unit already costs $999. The offer runs until June 19 and those interested can check it out in-store or online.

Hardly Any Caveats

Sometimes, if a deal sound too good to be true, it usually is. It might look and sound attractive at one point, but the fine print usually lists a couple of notable tradeoffs. However, a closer inspection of the requirements for the iPhone X BOGO from AT&T for this Father's Day weekend appears agreeable for most buyers.

Just like other similar offers, the buyer must pay for the two smartphones via the carrier's Next Installment plan. This distributes the total cost over 24 to 30 monthly payments. Please take note that customers need to sign up for a new line of service and pay the necessary taxes for each device.

What makes the second handset technically free will be the bill credits that start within three billing cycles after the transaction.

Comparing Other Offers

For now, it seems like AT&T is the only carrier with an offer for two iPhone X units. Sources reveal that other BOGO deals from different providers restrict the second smartphone option to earlier iPhone models.

Some speculate that the reason why wireless networks always feature the flagship model in its promotions is its price. Even with all of its innovative features like Face ID and more, the $999 cost makes people apprehensive about its purchase.

On the other hands, late last month, T-Mobile made an offer that surprised consumers. It included the LG G7 ThinQ at a discount even before its official shipment date.
