Nintendo recently released an all-new installment to the Mario Tennis franchise. Mario Tennis Aces is the franchise's first game for the Nintendo Switch console.

'Mario Tennis Aces' Game Changes

When Mario Tennis Aces dropped into stores on June 22, fans were ecstatic to play as Mario, Princess Peach, and Bowser. However, they noticed that there were more faults in the software than aces. Video game media outlet Eurogamer found that there was something wrong with the game when they were looking at the game settings.

It claims that one of Mario Tennis' crucial components, the single and double matches, have been shortened. Mario Tennis Aces removed the set rule and established that whoever is close to winning three games would win the match. When it comes to playing tennis, it takes six games to declare a winner. Players have also noticed that it has been difficult to change the game features to expand or shorten the game, which has been done in previous games.

Complaints And Counterpoints

Several hardcore gamers took to Reddit to unleash their frustrations with the game. One player wrote that having quick matches removes numerous items that Mario Tennis fans have associated with this game, including mental warfare and comeback victories. Other gamers complained about the game's Adventure Mode feature, in which the player plays Mario as they confront various, tough bosses in multiple stadiums. Some frustrated players vented that they failed to get their money back from the video game company.

"This sucks for Aces. It's a real game ruiner for me, and I wish I could get my money back," wrote Reddit user MarioKartGuy27 in a statement obtained from Eurogamer.

Some media outlets were unsure if Nintendo would make adjustments with Mario Tennis Aces. However, the video game company confirmed that it would be adding new characters for players to play within two months. It is expected that Koopa Troopa would join the roster in July, while Blooper will be playable in August.

Nintendo Switch News

Nintendo recently launched a contest with Disney called the Nintendo Switch Family Showdown. The pair is looking for families to send a video that tells both entertainment entities why they are Nintendo's ultimate fans. Four families would be selected to travel to Los Angeles to compete in a once-in-a-lifetime contest that would air on the Disney Channel, Disney XD, and the DisneyNOW app in August. The families would have to showcase their mastery of the Nintendo Switch by playing games inspired by Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Odyssey, and Just Dance 2019.

At the 2018 E3 Conference, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was announced. The game is expected to feature an all-star roster that includes characters from the previous Super Smash Bros. volumes. It is also likely that there would be new stages exclusively for this game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is tentatively available for Nintendo Switch users on Dec. 7.
