The HTC Hima may just be the most anticipated device that the Internet has seen based on the number of leaks that have appeared online.

While most have dealt with information on specs and features, none of them have revealed what the new flagship would look like. However, a new set of photos were leaked on Zol.com.cn claiming to be none other than the soon-to-be released device from HTC.

Based on the photos, the HTC Hima or HTC One M9 doesn't really differ much from its predecessor, the HTC One M8, in terms of design features. It would still carry the same sleek and brushed metal finish, and boast of the well-loved speakers which the HTC devices have been popularly known for. Perhaps the reason could simply be that HTC wanted to maintain something which it has already proven to work. In other words, HTC believes that it has created a winning design in its devices.

The HTC Hima maintains the 1080 x 1920 full HD display of 5 inches that one finds in the HTC One M8. Its dimensions of 144.3 x 69.4 x 9.56 mm are slightly different from its predecessor's 146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4 mm. The Sense UI has been upgraded to 7.0 from the M8's 6.0 version.

The HTC Hima is touted as one of the best selfie phones to date. The device is said to have an improved camera combination of 20.7 megapixels on the rear and 13 megapixels on the front. If the leaks are authentic, it would mean that the HTC Hima has more than doubled the camera specs of its predecessor as the M8's is said to have a camera combination of 4 ultrapixels and 5 megapixels.

The rest of the reported leaks seemed to be unchanged as well. These are features such as the Adreno 430 graphics, LTE Cat. 6 connectivity, Android 5.1 Lollipop and 2840mAh battery. It is also expected that the HTC Hima will have an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor of 64 bits and 3GB RAM.

HTC has not made any official announcement yet on what products it is about to show off at the upcoming CES 2015 in Las Vegas. There are speculations that the company would unveil the HTC Hima on the said event. There are also plans to launch the company's first wearable device and a new Desire handset.
