Disney fans in the Netherlands have the opportunity to be the first to experience the anticipated new streaming service, Disney+.

According to reports, the Netflix competitor has gone live in the European country this week. Those who sign up for the service will be able to stream Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic content for free for the next two months.

The free mobile app also appeared on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS. However, unless the user is in the Netherlands, the app is still not available to be installed just yet.

Disney+ Begins Streaming In The Netherlands

According to The Verge, the Dutch trial of Disney+ currently offers 18 Marvel movies for streaming. Only Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, both of which were released earlier this year, were missing from the catalog.

The service also has the entire Star Wars franchise, including specials, animated series, and LEGO shorts. The anticipated new series The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal and created by Jon Favreau will not be released until later this year.

Disney+ Launch Date, Pricing, Other Details

Those in the United States will have to air until Nov. 12 when Disney+ officially launches. The service will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 for the whole year.

Those who sign up for the free trial in the Netherlands will have to pay €6.99 a month after Nov. 12.

Upon launch, the service will offer 300 movie titles and 7,500 episodes of television. Disney is also working on more original content that will exclusively stream on Disney+, including several Marvel and Star Wars spin-offs.

Earlier this year at D23, the company confirmed an Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor and live-action superhero shows based on the characters She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.

Disney will also revive popular titles such as Home Alone, Lizzie McGuire, and High School Musical.

The service is scheduled to roll out in the rest of North America, Western Europe, and some parts of Asia by early 2020. Additional territories will be added through 2021.

Disney+ will also be bundled with Disney's other streaming products Hulu and ESPN+.
