YouTube Star Blippi's Live Shows To Use Actor Instead Of Creator Stevin John, Angry Parents Demand Refund

Angry parents are now demanding for a refund after finding out that the Blippi live shows will not feature the creator Stevin John. Blippi will instead be played by an actor in the live shows.

Blippi Live is set for a tour in 2020, and just like the YouTube channel it is based on, it is expected to be a success. However, many parents are reportedly upset and demanding a refund for the tickets they have already purchased after finding out that an actor will be playing Blippi instead of the creator Stevin John who plays Blippi on the popular YouTube channel.

Evidently, while it is written on the Blippi Live website FAQs that John will not be playing Blippi and that a stage performer will be playing the character, the announcement is inconsistent when it comes to the websites that sell the tickets. For instance, the Ticketmaster page for the Daytona, Florida event states the disclaimer, but the pages for the events in other cities do not.

As such, many parents only found out about it when they read the FAQs on the show's website.

Blippi

Blippi is a popular YouTube character that offers wholesome entertainment for pre-school age children. The character created and played by John wears bright orange glasses, bowties, and suspenders, and explores various places that children will love such as parks, playgrounds, children’s museums, and zoos.

The character has brought great success to its creator who now has his own production facility in Las Vegas, employees who help him shoot and edit his videos, and merchandise being sold on the Blippi website and on Amazon.

While John plays Blippi on the YouTube channel, he is unable to go on the tour because he cannot be on the road for weeks or months at a time while also working on the YouTube channel.
