Elon Musk billion-worth electric vehicle manufacturing company, Tesla is beginning to cater to an in-demand color wrap service. This is when the owner wants to have a newly-colored car, without spending to buy another car. You have to put the car wrap and instantly see the color of your choice with your new vehicle. Of course, Tesla is not offering this service until recently, in China.

China's Tesla now caters car wrap!

One of the most common issues of Tesla car owners is the same colors of vehicles. There are only a few exterior colors of a common Tesla S. These are Deep Blue Metallic [Blue], Midnight Silver Metallic [Silver], Pearl White Multi-Coat[White], Red Multi-Coat [Red], and Solid Black [Black].

More than these colors, there are no more available exterior designs for a Tesla car. So, how do rich people manage to have distinct color-designs of their Tesla cars? They do car wraps.

A car wrap is a common customization technique by car owners who want to make their vehicles more unique. Usually, vinyl sheets are applied to the painted surfaces of a car. It will leave by days, to make sure it's firmly stick on the vehicle.

A common problem on these types of sheets is the price of it. A mid-size car needs as much as 60 to 65 feet of vinyl sheets to cover the entire exterior. These may cost $6,000 up to $10,000, depending on the size. And this is just the material itself-- the charges are not yet accomodating labor.

Since car wraps have been a major trend, Elon Musk is now catering to make his own car wrap services for Tesla.

Where can you get Tesla car wrap services?

Unfortunately, the Tesla car wrap service is not yet available in many countries. So far, Elon Musk only opens this service for Chinese Tesla retail shops.

As reported on Electrek, the official Tesla customer service in China announced the said service in its Weibo account.

"Tesla is more and more common on the road, and it is getting easier to recognize the wrong car at the charging station. How to make your Tesla different and stand out?" said the press release. "Now, the Tesla Delivery Center has launched the [Color Changed Car Wrap] product, which can make the vehicle cool!"

It's not yet clear whether Tesla will be introducing the same services to other countries, particularly in the United States.

After all, Tech Times reported that Musk already confirmed that CyberTruck can change its colors on its own-- or once the heat is infused.
