Consumer electronics giant BenQ has recently announced its PD3420Q, a 34-inch flat screen monitor utilizing a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio - perfect for design and multitasking.

The upcoming PD3420Q is powered by AQCOLOR technology, BenQ's proprietary tech that delivers accurate colors for professional monitors, and offers full display P3 coverage and out-of-the-box color accuracy.

"PD3420Q is the most comprehensive display for graphic designers, web designers, artists, and creatives," said BenQ America director Houston Wei. "USB-C single cable connectivity, M-Book mode for Mac users, certified color accuracy, innovative professional tools, and BenQ's signature eye care make this monitor a dream machine."

BenQ 34: Ultrawide Monitor specs

BenQ's new monitor can display up to 3440x1440 Wide Quad HD (WQHD) resolution, together with VESA DisplayHDR400 support on a panoramic frameless 34-inch panel. With its ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio, users enjoy an additional 33% of horizontal space with increased pixels per inch (PPI) density compared to 16:9 QHD monitors.

In terms of color accuracy, BenQ's own AQCOLOR tech allows for supreme color breadth and depth. In a press release, BenQ reports that PD3420Q can display 1.07 billion colors at a 99 percent coverage of the sRGB space and 98 percent coverage for DCI-P3. It also has a Delta E, or color distance value, of ≤ 3. Furthermore, the Taiwanese multinational assures the highest production standard for each ultrawide monitor, with each unit undergoing factory calibration. Each PD3420Q monitor is Pantone Validated, certified to accurately reproduce Pantone colors, as well as CalMAN Verification for its 34-inch screen.

As the latest multitasking workmate, BenQ's 34-inch ultrawide monitor can provide the convenience of a dual monitor setup, but without the same clutter, allowing desktop partitions and picture-by-picture displays for doing tasks simultaneously. Users can even work in two side by side partitions - a 16:9 and 5:9 section - allowing video editing, working, or streaming in separate yet accessible spaces.

Professionalism meets elegance in the PD3420Q's display coupled with smart professional features. Its various modes - CAD/CAM, Animation, Darkroom, DualView, and M-Book - allow for application-specific displays, increasing efficiency and improving workflow. The new AQCOLOR ultrawide also comes with the convenient Hotkey Puck Gen 2, allowing easier access to commonly-used apps, commands, and settings. It also has a KVN switching capability, picture-in-picture/ picture-by-picture option, and wide connectivity for DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB-C ports.

PD3420Q is also fitted with BenQ's industry-leading eye care technology, proprietary low blue light, Flicker-free displays, and anti-glare technologies that allow extended working and viewing sessions without fatigue, especially for the eyes.
