The latest update available for the Chromecast with Google TV is the 78.20MB update for the QTS2.200918.033 version. However, Google has not officially launched the changelog details of the latest Chromecast updates. But here are some of the basic details about it:

As you may know, Android TV devices are a bit behind security patches. It can be about three patches behind the update, but the Chromecast still works incredibly well in the market. The new update will be bringing the December 2020 security patch to the Chromecast with Google TV. This update is the latest one since the September patch.

As reported by Android Headlines, the chromecast with Google TV works better now on 4k60 in most TVs following the latest release of the December security update. Prior to the update, some TVs are not very compatible with the 4k60 setting. Thus, its functionality and performance is being compromised. Some reasons could be the TV not recognizing that the Chromecast could support the 4K60 or some setting issues. However, the new security update definitely makes this a more seamless transaction. 

Moreover, another Chromecast remote update will come alongside the 78.20MB update. Shortly after you finish installing the update, another update will be available in the settings. It can be installed in your device remotely for a more holistic upgrade for your Chromecast with Google TV.
