In an article written by Tech Crunch, LinkedIn is bringing the "Video Cover Story," wherein people can create short clips about themselves on their homepages. This will not only introduce you to other people on the platform but will also assure that your connections to your peers will be everlasting.

CNET also reported that the short video could help you land jobs easier since your future manager could directly see your communications skills, which could be a factor in the hiring process.

Another feature that the business-oriented online platform added is the Creator mode, which is specially made for those who want to influence others through a network. Also, this could be a perfect platform for freelancers since they could now add a new Service page to their profiles.

It was in June 2020 when the program was primarily introduced amid the coronavirus pandemic. Together with Microsoft, LinkedIn has concluded that there is a hidden potential for the training efforts to grow even online.

The effort was also in line with Microsoft's initiative to improve global skills, stated in its blog. It was noted that there were about 30 million people who live in 249 countries that are using the services to boost their skills.

From there, the Career Coach can assist the students in recognizing their interests and their desired profession using the learning content provided by the two collaborators.

For Tomen Cohen, the chief product officer of LinkedIn, the features will give the people a much larger space to expand their resume contents. People could also autoplay the clip when visiting your profile.

Job hunting sounds tedious, and given the situation of having a worsening pandemic crisis, finding work at these times could be more challenging. At the end of the day, people want a job which suits their skills and their capabilities. On the other hand, the handlers want a capable candidate for a particular position.

Moreover, the features could also increase the engagement of the company. Considering that social media apps like Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter are doing the same thing, LinkedIn could also use the same service to attract a large group of individuals to visit and use its service.

LinkedIn has been around for many years while helping those who still rely on traditional resumes. The platform assures that once you enter it, you are entitled to choose what you could showcase, so your resume will be more presentable and more attractive in the eyes of other people.
