The company has claimed that it is still a safe platform to enjoy and use and that the "leak" that has surfaced is misleading people into thinking otherwise.
Clubhouse has been the talk of the town for the recent months, especially as it has been an on-demand application that users have been wanting to enter, but cannot as it manages to expand its services. Social Media companies such as Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Facebook have made their intentions known of debuting the same audio-only features on their platforms.

Clubhouse: Reports of Breach and Hack are Misleading
According to a recent statement by Clubhouse's official Twitter account (@joinClubhouse), the claims and reports that the application was hacked last Sunday, April 11, were all false and misleading. The massive count of users whose images, contact information, and usernames were "leaked" online, were indeed information that is readily available to anyone with access to the app.
Clubhouse said that users who are part of the application and can use its services after being invited can access the different information, including seeing the accounts and profile of co-members of the app. The public profile information is not something to be leaked about as it is available to anyone, through the company's API or application programming interface.
Initial reports of Clubhouse user profiles and other information were said to be available via a hacker forum, which has alerted and made people wary of their safety via the application, causing alarm and distress. The recent news and report have taken a toll on Clubhouse, hence the tweet it presented to clear its name of the recent attack.
Clubhouse Should Rethink its API, Says Cyber expert
According to a security researcher from CyberNews, Mantas Sasnauskas, despite this declared statement by Clubhouse, they should reconfigure its API and rethink how they make data available. The publicly available data and information of users online are still subject to other forms of attack like "phishing and social engineering."
The publicly available amount of data is still something to be concerned about, as it reveals a lot about a certain user that may be subject to attacks. While this issue receives its comment from Clubhouse that assured users of their safety in the application, it still is something that worries the cybersecurity expert with the app's API.
