ZEASN, world leader in over the top (OTT) and Smart TV solutions, has announced its team up with video advertising platform SpotX and video personalization leader Nowtilus - working together toward content monetization across the ZEASN free streaming service WhaleLive.

Making the announcement last April 20, SpotX will be ZEASN's end-to-end ad tech provider in charge of its inventory management and access to OTT inventory, thanks to the SpotX Total Connect+ solution. Meanwhile, Nowtilus will be leveraging its expertise in AI-driven video personalization services and providing an open ad insertion platform with its Serverside.ai to work as a server-side ad insertion (SSAI) provider for ZEASN. Together, these two new partners will power the new ZEASN content monetization on its free live streaming platform, WhaleLive.

The collaboration between the three tech companies, according to a ZEASN press release, will be centered around offering "dynamic ad insertion and a personalized viewer experience for newly launched channels" inside the platform's free streaming channels, including WhaleLive for Philips TV devices. The program will be starting with English and German speaking territories in Europe, with ZEASN already laying out plans for more territories to enjoy these services.

Additionally, teaming up with SpotX creates a new market for media buyers to strategically place their ad campaigns on WhaleLive, and its premium inventory on Philips Smart TVs. Boasting its best-in-class technology specifically targeted for video, SpotX has a holistic and brand-safe solution used among the world's largest media owners, companies, and publishers in today's market.

ZEASN has been a trusted partner for Philips CTV devices since 2016, employing its essential tech Whale OS - a revolutionary operating system for smart devices, such as Philips' TV sets. Until the present, ZEASN explains in a news release that Whale OS has provided more than a hundred brands with "customized and diversified digital entertainment solutions," with these brands reaching more than a hundred countries worldwide.

Now, Nowtilus and Serverside.ai offer additional value to the table through its expertise in greatly improving monetization possibilities, capable of offering targeted advertising made possible by its server-side ad insertion solutions. With this, the Smart TVs powered by ZEASN can explore more boundaries, employing new technologies to access new markets. WIth its Addressable TV, an unprecedented level of targeting viewer preferences is now possible. The capabilities of its SSAI is expected to empower WhaleLive to provide a seamless viewing experience viewers have known from the classic Broadcast TV.

Changing The TV Watching Experience

"For us, teaming up with ZEASN was a great opportunity to extend the footprint to high class TV devices and to harness the full potential of ad personalization to huge user groups," said Nowtilus' Managing Director Patrick Knippel.

Winston Chen, ZEASN Chief Operating Officer, notes the growth of streaming services on CTV devices and with it, programmatic advertising. Teaming up with SpotX and Nowtilus, ZEASN is looking forward to presenting smart TV users with "full entertaining offering and drive greater engagement."

"In the past year, over-the-top (OTT) TV viewing has grown exponentially with audiences migrating towards this flexible and personalised format," notes SpotX EMEA Platform VP Sam Wilson. He adds that their company is "delighted" to work with ZEASN and Nowtilus to realize this revolutionary tech.
