Let's be honest: TV has never been more impressive than it is now. While there are still plenty of 'traditional' sitcoms on the air, and sports still tend to dominate this time of year, television shows are being treated more like multi-part movies than the serials of the past. Think about it: were trailers for TV shows ever released ten years ago?

Judging from the trailers alone, 2015 is already set to be a huge year for TV. There have been some downright fantastic teasers released over the past few weeks, and if you're not excited for at least one of these shows after watching the trailers...something's wrong. Here's a rundown of the best trailers to hit the web since the New Year.

House of Cards, Season 3
Premieres Feb. 27

House of Cards is proof-positive that releasing a show on Netflix's streaming network can work. The show has seen success since its inception, and the third season looks to keep things going strong. Plus, Kevin Spacey can make just anything intense with that voice of his...

Better Call Saul, Series Premiere
Premieres Feb 8.

There's no way that a Breaking Bad spin-off wouldn't generate a lot of buzz. At first glance, it may be far removed from the gritty drug empires that inspired it, but by the end of the trailer, Better Call Saul proves that it can be just as intense as its progenitor.

iZombie, Series Premiere
Premieres March 17

The CW has been hugely successful lately, largely in part to the network's DC Comics series Arrow and Flash. iZombie looks to keep that success going, but in a vastly different direction: the show follows a zombie named Liv, who eats the brains of the deceased in order to fight crime. Yes, it's bizarre, but it's definitely a change of pace from other DC shows...

The Walking Dead, Mid-Season Premiere
Premieres Feb. 8

What is there to say about The Walking Dead? It's one of the biggest shows on TV, and the absolutely fantastic trailer that debuted online days ago is a reminder of how atmospheric the show can get. There's no story here - just somber narration and thick fog. It's perfect.

Outlander, Mid-Season Premiere
Premieres April 4

Time travel isn't something that's handled very often on TV, given the complex nature of the resulting storylines, but that hasn't kept Outlander from getting as popular as it has. Starz has also renewed the series for a second season already, which is always a good sign for a fledgling show. It may be the outlier on this list, but definitely keep an eye on Outlander.

Most people seem to think that 2015 will be the year of the comic book movie, but there's a good chance 2015 will actually be the year of the TV drama. If these trailers are anything to go by, viewers are in for something special - let's just hope the shows live up to the hype.
