"Witcher" fans will have something great to look forward to next month.

CD Projekt Red and Netflix are going to hold the first-ever so-called "Witcher Con" on July 9, which can be watched on YouTube and Twitch. Eurogamer reports that the digital-only event is going to reveal a lot of new content regarding the "Witcher" game series and TV shows.

Billed as a celebration of all things related to the "Witcher" universe, the convention is expected to bring forth interactive panels talking about the game series, "breaking news" from the Netflix show, and some more news regarding the future of the franchise as a whole. There could also be appearances by the two Geralts: Henry Cavill and Doug Cockle (the latter being the voice of Geralt in the games), though it's not confirmed as of yet.

There could also be some news regarding the upcoming animated series titled "The Witcher: Blood Origin," which is rumored to be exploring the beginnings of the beloved caste of mutated monster hunters.

The convention just released a brand-new trailer on the official "Witcher" Twitter page, and it's hilariously showcasing the iconic grunts that Geralt is known for across the Netflix show and the games, because of course it should:

And if you might miss the first stream (especially if you're in a time zone where the show will start quite late), don't worry. According to the official "Witcher Con" website, a second stream will premiere a day after the first one.

The convention is going to be a great primer to the imminent release of Season 2 of "The Witcher" on Netflix later this year, with the production team already likely deep into their marketing planning phase.

'Witcher Con' To Reveal a New Game?

A lot of fans of the "Witcher" series already know that the second season of the acclaimed TV series is coming soon. They are, however, itching about the news of a possible next AAA "Witcher" game, to which CD Projekt Red vehemently replied, "no new [Witcher] game will be announced."

But this doesn't mean there will no longer be any games in the "Witcher" universe from here on out.

Say what you want about CD Projekt Red and its problems with "Cyberpunk 2077" lately, but what they did for the "Witcher" franchise is nothing short of amazing. Their critically acclaimed trilogy boasts one of the greatest games in recent memory: "The Witcher 3": Wild Hunt." The game is so popular that it's actually going to get a next-gen upgrade for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, which is also probably going to be announced at the upcoming convention.

CD Projekt Red also reiterated that come 2022, they're going to be focusing on parallel development. Considering that their two biggest franchises would be "Cyberpunk" and "The Witcher," it's not at all dumb to expect that CDPR will be releasing a new game for the latter series sometime down the line. And when it does launch, it will be a good day.
