AMD might actually be getting ready to release another line of GPUs which gamers are looking forward to. Although the supply has been short on the currency GPUs like the AMD Radeon RX 6500, it seems a leak has just suggested that AMD could be coming out with the long awaited Radeon RX 6600 and the RX 6600 XT GPUs.

According to the story by TechRadar, if newly uncovered drivers can be used as any form of indication at all, this would mean users will be able to see the first GPUs come to the market along with AMD's Navi 23 GPU. A leak revealed a screenshot of a list of Radeon RX drivers that were pulled directly from AMD's latest update which include the drivers for both the RX 6600 and the RX 6600 XT GPUs.

The leak came from what TechRadar described as a "known Twitter leaker" @Komachi_Ensaka who posted a list of Radeon RX drivers that came from AMD's latest update; neither of them, however, have been announced yet. As of the moment, AMD is already rolling out its popular Radeon RX 6600M GPUs which was announced earlier this month and to be the very first to be powered by the Navi 23.

Radeon RX 6600 and 6600 XT Specs (Supposed)

This meant that the RX 6600 and the RX 6600 XT GPUs were both expected to follow some time soon after. As of the moment, there are more details popping up about the GPU expected to power both the RX 6600 and the RX 6600 XT.

A particular post from the TechPowerUp forum actually suggested AMD that Navi 23 will be featuring the 64 render output units or ROP. This would be the exact same as the Navi 22 GPU. Additional information about this possibility came from Wccftech noting the new GPU might be packed with 2,048 shading units, 32 ray tracing acceleration cores, and 128 texture mapping units.

AMD New GPU

As noted by Wccftech, AMD had indicated during the CES 2021 that a new single-fan Big Navi card will be released during some point in the "near future." This would mean that both the RX 6600 as well as the RX 6600 XT could be really good candidates for the new single-fan design.

This, however, is still speculation as of the moment until at least AMD will be making its newest GPUs official. As of the moment, gamers will have to wait for any upcoming official statement from AMD in order to confirm that the new RX 6600 XT and the new RX 6600 could be coming soon.

Buying any high-powered AMD or NVIDIA GPUs alone at SRP is already hard enough. What some gamers might argue is that before launching out new products, hopefully supply for the current high-powered GPUs will stabilize in order for gamers to be able to bypass scalpers.
