Tesla CEO Elon Musk Tweets ‘Baby Doge,’ Sending The Cryptocurrency Up by 98%

Tesla's Elon Musk is known for being one of the public figures who are highly active on social media. Musk is especially interested in a bird app called Twitter because it allows him to freely communicate with his supporters and other public figures.

He has tweeted plenty of controversial and popular posts; some even led to a threat from a hacking group.

Baby Shark

If you have been around the internet for quite some time, there is a high chance that you are aware of Pinkfrog's "Baby Shark" song. It initially went viral back in 2020, and it has become one of the most viewed clips on YouTube. The song even surpassed "Despacito" in views.

For a few months, "Baby Shark" was all over -- you can hear it while grocery shopping, cooling off at the mall, and while scrolling through social media.

If you think that after a year, the craze over "Baby Shark" would already be over, Tesla CEO Elon Musk begs to differ.

On July 1, Elon Musk tweeted another cryptic message. He tweeted the lyrics to the chorus of "Baby Shark," but he replaced the word "Shark" with "Doge."

  Baby Doge's Twitter account replied to his tweet, saying that they love Elon.

How Elon Musk's Tweet Affected Baby Dogecoin

Musk's "Doge" version of the viral song "Baby Shark" paved the way for the cryptocurrency to skyrocket by 98% over 24 hours.

According to News 18, Baby Doge got almost 40% up almost instantly. The cryptocurrency's price rose to $0.000000002000 in New York, coming from $0.000000000916 at 10:53 AM as soon as Musk tweeted the crypto's brand name.

As of July 2, 8:15 AM, Baby Doge Coin's price is already at $0.00000001.

Because of Musk's tweet, #BabyDoge trended on Twitter.

Elon Musk's Relationship with Dogecoin

On the other hand, Dogecoin also received a 3% bump in its gains because of Musk's "Baby Doge" tweet.

Throughout 2021, Elon Musk has been a solid supporter of Dogecoin. He constantly tweets about it, and he even plans to send Dogecoin to the moon.

It is a popular meme cryptocurrency that started as a joke but soon developed as a real cryptocurrency. Dogecoin is currently one of the leading cryptocurrencies in the entire crypto market.

In April, the cryptocurrency reached an all-time high because of Musk's tweets, crossing over 10 cents for the very first time.

Elon Musk's Interest in Shiba Inu

On the other hand, Musk has also tweeted about a dog breed called Shiba Inu. In one tweet, he mentioned that he would be getting a Shiba Inu.

In another tweet, he said that he would name his Shiba Inu Floki.

 

Because of his tweets about Shiba Inu, his supporters related it to supporting another cryptocurrency: the Shiba Inu Coin.

News 18 reported that Shiba Inu Coin grew by 16% and reached $0.00000790 on CoinMarketCap.
