"Dead by Daylight" might be one of the most thrilling hack-and-chase games at the moment for fans who love horror films. Every update, Behaviour Interactive never ceases to amaze them by bringing new killers and survivors into the game. However, we might see a bizarre spinoff soon that might shock the players.

According to the leaked trademark listing, the game developer is now preparing to produce a spin-off game for "Dead by Daylight" which is centered on a dating simulator.

Can we see a dating sim spin-off for "Dead by Daylight" soon? The recent filing says that it's possible.

GamesRadar was the first to report that Behaviour Interactive has filed an application for a new project that will give a new twist to the spine-chilling game.

Based on the documentation, the trademark was entitled "HOOKED ON YOU: A DEAD BY DAYLIGHT DATING SIM." It was filed by the Canadian video game studio last Wednesday, Feb. 16.

Regarding trademark names, publishers often keep their application secret to other entities as part of their privacy and intellectual property protection. However, the case was rather different from Behaviour Interactive.

According to another article from GameSpot, the filing was very specific to the point that it was anticipated to be truly coming soon. As of press time, the "Dead by Daylight" developer remained mum on this filing so we could not expect further announcements from them.

On top of that, it might be a part of the survey that Behaviour conducted last year. At that time, they were asking some fans regarding the various genres that they could release in the next few years. One of the options included in the list was the dating sim.

Possible Content For 'Dead by Daylight' Dating Simulator

It's pretty weird to know that the current genre for Behaviour's top game is not closely related to a dating sim. This confused a lot of fans as to how the studio can execute it well given its strangeness.

Per Dual Shockers, the developers could be thinking something about this simulator. There's a chance that Behaviour could pull off this game through pranks especially since April Fools is drawing closer. This could be compared to what Valorant did in 2021.

Indeed, it was really out of the blue to release this filing. Chances are we could see The Pig or Jigsaw dating in one corner. Everything can happen in this trademark filing. We could witness someday that killers can engage in dating like survivors.

Last month, Tech Times released a new "Dead by Daylight" crossover update with the "Saw" film. Behaviour said that fans will now have an opportunity to know Jigsaw's lore, as well as the new stories surrounding the characters from the horror movie franchise.

Speaking of dating sims, we reported last year that Valve officially banned "Super Seducer 3" on Steam. This dating simulator game has reportedly violated Valve's policies about explicit content.

While its creator begged for Valve to give them a second chance, the platform did not listen and proceeded to remove it on Steam.
