WhatsApp's latest beta hint on the future release of an app language where you can manually select a language of your choice on your phone.

On Tuesday, March 22, Android Police reported that there's an upcoming feature that WhatsApp users should anticipate in the future. The beta update for Android 2.22.8.3 presented an interesting feature about changing the app language in the platform.

Right now, there are more than 60 available languages in the said messaging platform. In addition, the language of your WhatsApp will depend on your phone so you have no freedom in altering it. However, with the future update, you can now select your preferred language that you want to use in WhatsApp.

As a reliable source, WABETAInfo wrote on its recent blog, the application is now gearing up to unveil this new feature for version 2.22.8.3 through the Google Play Beta Program.

It was indicated on the official website that the status of the app is "under development" so this means that it will take some time before we could see it on the messaging platform.

Based on the provided screenshot by WABETAInfo, users can now access the settings on the app and search for the "App Language." Upon selecting this feature, you can see a lot of options in the form of supported languages of WhatsApp.

Somehow, this feature has been rolled out already in India, but Meta could likely want to expand the language access to many countries for the upcoming update.

Furthermore, this could also land on the next Android version wherein you could take the opportunity of using its global setting. At the moment, there's no exact time for its arrival, but once it comes out, it will be a game-changer for those who want to shift languages one at a time.

Back in December, Tech Times reported that the app brought some new privacy changes with regards to the "Last Seen" status of the people you have never made contact with before.
