Roku is making the Amazon Prime Video and IMDb TV available to stream via its devices and services, and it is through its recent multi-year deal that extends the partnership between both companies. The extension is amidst the issues Roku has with Amazon, and both companies have been going at each other, with this streaming deal taking place despite all of it.

Roku announced that the Amazon Prime Video and IMDb TV are still available on Roku devices, despite early speculations about ending its deal with the Big Tech company. There is now a guarantee that the Prime Video and IMDb TV's entertainment platforms are there to stay on Roku devices, without the need to buy a new one in case it got axed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Roku's share prices went up due to this announcement and it is a massive indication that people want the service to have the Amazon company's streaming media. The platform initially threatened to have Prime Video and IMDb TV removed from its services, which Roku did for other partner companies over the past.

Roku Signs Multi-Year Deal with Amazon

The famous streaming company said that there were no terms disclosed in this recent announcement, and it only means that the multi-year deal with Amazon is taking place now. It will prevent the departure of Amazon's subsidiaries to disappear from Roku devices and apps via Smart TVs, and users of the service may continue their entertainment needs via Roku's services.

Roku and Amazon

Roku made this move before and it is with its dispute with Google, focusing on its issues that stem from corporate lashes thrown at each other over time. The streaming service still makes YouTube TV available on its platform and users can access Big Tech's streaming media for the devices it owns, or its app on televisions.

On the other hand, Amazon and Roku have had a tumultuous relationship over the past, but there are still deals that the public can take advantage of that makes the products of both companies available. Amazon made Roku's devices available on its e-commerce platform and its inclusion in the previous sale events focused on this venture.

Amazon and Roku may have their differences, but that does not stop both companies to have a deal among themselves for the many ventures that both can do or focus on in the present. The streaming deal is only an indication of its continued partnership and service to provide Roku users with the option for Prime Video and IMDb TV available on their devices.
