Plex's Discovery beta has a universal search feature that will find you something to watch that is accurate and promising for all users that want to stream a great series. Some reports claim it is on par or even better than Google TV's search feature despite having almost the same offers, and it is something that one should consider.

Plex said to "kiss the streaming struggle goodbye" with its Discovery beta feature that brings a massive feature for all. The beta feature aims to reduce the time of searching for shows and movies to watch, especially as it became a daily struggle for streaming websites, unlike the channels that arrange their programming.

The Discovery feature aims to connect all streaming platforms into one service, and that is what Plex promises with this new beta that partners with many media companies in the venture. The subscription will matter here, but Plex also offers free movies and TV shows for everyone to enjoy, and it is a new age of streaming for all.

Gizmodo's report says that this is promising and already better compared to Google TV, which has the same features for its platform. It is also important to note that Plex takes note of the watchlist and provides this service for free.

Google TV brings the same feature as Plex Discovery, but it does not give away shows the same way as the new service. Plex Discovery takes note of the watchlist and shows that were accessed by the user, and while Google does the same, it is not as extensive as the beta.

Nevertheless, Google TV has the features that make it on par with Plex, and users may side with the larger company on this one, especially if they already have a subscription.

Google vs. Plex

Google TV is one of the massive services that bring different kind of online streaming features that helps in giving the public what they want to watch. The service is already a long-running one and it mainly relies on the internet for its streaming functions that bring everyone a wireless experience for all their needs in a device.

On the other hand, Plex is a company that offers Live TV capabilities without the need for cable, and it also relies on an internet connection that will give everyone a chance to stream directly online. It recently went into online streaming and the service is no longer the same for the company, providing a different transition to the media.

Google TV and Plex have similar offers for the public, but some argue that one is better than the other. The report is one opinion on the streaming search and what to watch for the public, but it said that Plex's service is better than that of Google. Of course, users get to decide this based on their preferences and set up for the streaming platforms.
