Motorola is entering the foldable phone race with its third-gen Motorola Razr 3. Costing $1,399.99, the smartphone boasts a larger display and is now being compared to the Flip 4.
Aside from the bigger display, the Razr 3 also packs some design improvements, unlike its predecessor. The design improvements even include its bottom bezel.
Motorola Razr 3 Improvements
According to Phone Arena, rumors flying around the internet suggested that Motorola Razr 3 had a lot of improvements. There are some rumors said that the Razr 3 would ditch its clunky bottom bezel and notch to go for a more squared-off look in a redefined design. The phone might also be foldable, added to some rumors.
As per Slash Gear, the Razr 3 will be arriving alongside Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The publication added that apparently, the Razr 3 would look less like the 2020 Motorola Razr 5G and more like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. Ross Young, an insider, corroborated the rumors on Twitter and added that not just the inner display would be bigger but also the outer display.
Since the next Motorola Razr image has leaked, I can say it will have a 6.7" foldable display rather than the 6.2" on the Razr 5G. It will be made by China Star. The cover display will expand from 2.7" to ~3".

Motorola Razr Comparison
Ross also unveiled that the Razr 5G would come with a 6.2" main screen and 2.7" cover display, while the Motorola Razr 2022 will get a 6.7" internal panel and 3" external screen. To better compare, 2021 was the year of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 due to its popularity.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 had a 6.7" main display and a smaller 1.9" secondary unit, while its successor, the Flip 4, is most likely going to have its external screen a little bit bigger. Motorola is not just upgrading its Razr 3 design along with internal improvements.
The Razr 5G could come with top-of-the-line specs, while the Razr 3 only came with mid-tier specs. So far, there are a few assumptions about its upcoming specs.

The Razr 5G could retail at $1,399.99 with its mid-tier specs, while expectations around the Razr 3 point towards it being priced as a premium product. In comparison, Samsung's Z Flip 3 is priced at $1,000, with its successor being potentially cheaper as per rumors.

Razr 3 Release Date
As for the release date, the Razr 3 is set first to be released in China, and it may be in July or August.
When it comes to the international market, Phone Arena estimates that it could be at a later date compared to its China launch.
