Elon Musk plans to meet Twitter employees for the first time. Ever since the billionaire announced that he would buy the social media giant, he actually shared the things he wanted to do with the platform.

Previously, Elon said he wanted to lay off around 10% of his employees. Although it is still unsure if the billionaire will also do it to Twitter once his purchase is completed, some staff already wants to clarify it in the upcoming virtual town hall meeting.

According to The Washington Post's latest report, the Twitter virtual town hall meeting will happen on Thursday, June 16. Elon is expected to meet around 7,500 employees of the social media giant.

Reuters' reported that Musk plans to reiterate his desire to own Twitter, answering the questions of many Twitter staff. Some anonymous individuals working for Twitter said that many employees are concerned regarding the upcoming acquisition of the billionaire. 

This is because they are unsure if Elon will also lay off Twitter workers or if he seeks to change the company's approach when it comes to moderating and policing the social media platform's content. 

As of writing, the $44 billion Twitter acquisition of the tech CEO is still incomplete. But, it seems like his agreement with the social media giant is also affecting the company.

Ever since Musk closed the deal to purchase Twitter, the online platform has already experienced various issues. Many users criticized the social media giant for accepting the billionaire's offer.
