IKEA and Electrify America are launching a new collaboration for the country to experience, and while it is not new home furniture needs, it will surely bring a clean energy advancement for all while shopping.
The new venture that these companies would focus on is the Ultrafast EV Charging Stations on multiple locations and branches of the Swedish retail store that would replenish batteries for the public's drive. It would help in charging the EV while its owners are shopping inside, at a rapid rate.
IKEA, Electrify America Partner to Bring Ultrafast EV Chargers
Electrify America announced via a press release that it is partnering with IKEA to bring its EV charging stations to different retail locations of the Swedish company that offers home appliances. The Ultrafast EV chargers would bring a total of 200 individual chargers for the users, offering 150kW to 350kW of power output, claiming to be the fastest.
According to the release, the first EV charging station for the IKEA location would first open by late 2022, and the project would see completion by 2023.
It is not the only public charging that Electrify America would bring for IKEA, as it will also bring a total of 225 fleet chargers for the project. The new fleet chargers would help IKEA transition its delivery vans to electric vehicles, and support its venture to adopt clean energy.

25 IKEA Locations to See Ultrafast Chargers in the US
There would be a total of 25 IKEA retail locations for the project with Electrify America.
It will be available in 18 states including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.

Electrify America is a company that focuses on EV charging stations for distribution in the country, providing ways for users to replenish their power that would provide an experience for all. It is a known subsidiary of Volkswagen, the famous German car company, which also has electric vehicles in its lineup for the world.
It aims to bring multiple locations for all users, including car companies like Volkswagen, BMW, and other EV car manufacturers present. The company also offers home charging for those that need it.

One notable piece of furniture is its partnership with the ASUS Republic of Gamers which brings futuristic gaming furniture and accessories fit for a gamer's room or space.
Now, it might not be making tech or home furniture for the world, but it aims to deliver a way for its visitors who own electric vehicles to have access to its parking and charge on their stay. It will ensure that people going from IKEA to their homes have a ready battery for the drive ahead, and no longer require another stop to charge.
