Meta is now asking for users to sign up for a new system that will focus on creating a "Meta Account" for their access to different VR games and experiences available to the public. The plan rolled out earlier today and no longer asks users to connect their Facebook accounts to access the experience for their games and workouts with the Quest devices.
'Meta Account' for the Metaverse: New System Now in Place

According to a blog post by Meta, the company is now gradually rolling out the Meta accounts system for the world to create their new handles and users for their use of the metaverse experience from the company. The update is coming to users, and they must wait for a prompt to create an account within the system.
Apart from the Meta account, the company is also bringing the "Horizon Worlds" profile system available here, a venture that users may connect with their new accounts from Meta.
Meta promises that this new account system will offer more "flexibility and control" to the public, with the option to choose what they want to appear on their online profiles and decide what not to post.

Facebook Accounts for the Metaverse Officially Out
Facebook accounts were the previous currency to access the metaverse and VR experience from the company. Still, according to TechCrunch, this feature was subject to significant complaints regarding privacy and security.
It would also benefit those who do not have Facebook accounts, which previous users see the need to create one in order to access their Meta Quest experience for the virtual world.
Meta's Metaverse Experience
Meta is on a massive expansion of the metaverse experience of the company, and it aims to bring a new way to access the virtual world via its available apps and experiences via the Quest platform now. One of them is the VR world known as "Horizon Worlds," which recently was made available to Spain and France as part of its global expansion.
Back in July, Meta announced that it is putting its Facebook account connection for its metaverse experience to rest and will focus on a new account system for users to sign up to for their access and virtual interactions. It is with the Meta Account that users are now seeing in the platform that would help put everything they need in one place.
This new system is now available for the world to experience, and it would help in giving everyone access to Meta's offers via the former Oculus platform that it provides gamers for the VR experience. Meta Quest users need to create this account for further access to the experience and games, with the system already asking for sign ups now.
