Kia announced today via a press release that its EV9 concept vehicle that first debuted in the LA Auto Show last year is now up and running on its facilities under its final technical testing phase. It is one of the rare moments where the company revealed a prototype that is under testing to the world, teasing it ahead of its 2023 debut.

The vehicle is the company's take on clean energy cars, focusing on a flagship SUV platform that the Kia EV9 aims to fill in the future. It will take on releases like the Tesla Model X, Rivian R1S, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai IONIQ 5, and other known electric SUVs available worldwide.

The photos bring the EV without many changes from its initial prototype, but this time, it is wrapped in camouflage and drives at the company's testing facility in South Korea.

What to Expect from the Kia EV9?

The Kia EV9 was first released as a concept vehicle, and what it debuted to the public is something one would expect for future cars that bring an intuitive dashboard and a design that is out of this world. However, that is not the most iconic part of the vehicle yet, as it also brings a significant powertrain that can take different terrains with its system, one that could take anything presented to it.

Kia and its EV Focus Now

Kia's take on electric vehicles is massive, and it is one of the companies coming from the internal combustion engine (ICE) production that is now transitioning to clean energy vehicles for its releases. It follows the steps of the likes of Hyundai, its known sister company also from South Korea, one that brings several EV takes to the world.

The South Korean company has several EV prototypes that it announced and debuted to the world during previous automotive showcases and events. The company is focusing on its takes on electric vehicles from its design and manufacturing, also bringing the electric vehicle-only companies a run for their money.

Kia previously denied that it was creating an electric vehicle for Apple, known as the "Apple Car."

The new EV9 is a significant electric vehicle with massive expectations from the public, particularly with the promising designs and spec sheet from its prototype that arrived at the LA Auto Show as a concept. Still, the vehicle's actual testing in its facilities only shows that it will soon come for all, focusing on the SUV platform it aims to fill in the future.
