E-commerce giant Amazon has dropped the price of the Apple Watch Series 7 to $299 ahead of Apple's Sept. 7 event.

The 41mm GPS model in Starlight is currently the only size and color available for the said series.

Apple Watch Series 7 Sale

According to Engadget's Cherlynn Low, the Apple Watch Series 7 is one of the best fitness trackers, giving it a total score of 90 over 100.

The Apple Watch Series 7 has a 20% larger screen, faster charging, and an overnight respiratory tracking feature.

According to 9to5Mac, the Always-On-Retin display on Series 7 is up to 70% brighter indoors than the Series 6, making it easier to see the watch's face without lifting your wrist or waking the display.

Series 7 features a redesigned front crystal with a more robust geometry over 50% thicker than the Apple Watch Series 6, making it crack-resistant.

The smartwatch has also been certified IP6X dust-resistant and has a water resistance rating of WR50, making it an excellent choice for swimming performances.

As for its sensors, Series 7 has an optical heart sensor, a built-in compass, Digital Crown with haptic feedback, an always-on altimeter, a second-generation speaker, and a mic.

The smartwatch also has an Emergency SOS and International Emergency calling. You can call for help and alert your emergency contacts.

Series 7 can also detect if you have taken a hard fall, then calls emergency services for you-the Noise app alerts when decibels reach levels that could potentially damage your hearing.

Series 7 has the same processor as Apple Watch Series 6. Even though it has a new name, it still uses the same CPU power. It is not the first time Apple has done something like this, as Apple Watch Series 5 has the same chip performance as the S4 SoC.

The Series 7 SiP has a 64-bit dual-core processor and features 32GB of storage. As the Series 6 chips, it is 20% faster than the processor found inside the Apple Watch SE.

Apple's September Event

Apple has been pushing the Apple Watch Series 7 ahead of its Sept. 7 as the tech giant is expected to release the latest smartwatch in the lineup, the Apple Watch Series 8.

According to MacRumors, Apple Watch Series 8 will feature a similar design with a flat display, but the device won't have flat edges.

The Series 8 device will include blood-pressure monitoring, a thermometer for fertility and sleep tracking, sleep apnea detection, and diabetes detection.

The other features expected to be included in Series 8 are women's health, sleep updates, new fitness options, and medication management. These are all expected to launch before blood pressure and glucose monitoring.

Apple also added a body temperature sensor to Watch Series 8 that will notify you of possible fever. However, it will not show an actual measurement and advise you to call a doctor or check a thermometer.

The Apple Watch Series 8 will be available for $399, and the GPS version will be available for $499.
