Lufthansa is in a bit of a mixup, and the company cleared out its past statement regarding its ban on the Apple AirTags on its flights, now saying that it does not forbid people from having it on and available for use. This new statement is the direct opposite of its previous tweet, with many people previously raising their concerns against this ban from the company.
The German aviation company attempted to clear out this mess, clarifying and retracting its previous statement.
Lufthansa is NOT Banning the Apple AirTags in a Recent Update

Airways Magazine first reported a development from Lufthansa, where a spokesperson revealed that the company is not banning the Apple AirTags on their flights. People may now leave it on and use it for their requirements, having it on the entire trip from their entry to the airport up to their arrival and retrieval of their luggage from the carousel.
This issue came after the controversial tweet by the company, which said that it is banning the AirTags due to the dangers and risks it presents to the airport and airlines. However, Lufthansa was the only major aviation company that proposed a ban on the Apple AirTags, particularly as many travelers already use it for their possessions during their travels.

People Left Confused about Lufthansa's Statements

Other airlines and companies in the world do not mind the use of the AirTags for checked-in or hand-carried baggage, something which Lufthansa previously banned and lifted for its customers. It created confusion among its customers, with the German company left to clarify its statements as to what its policy is regarding the Cupertino giant's Bluetooth tracker.
Alex Macheras said that airlines have a ban on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, but the AirTags does not use the same kind.
Apple AirTags and Lost Baggages
People lose items at the airport daily, and this is not a new thing. This is why when the Apple AirTags first debuted, people placed the Bluetooth tracker on their baggage and personal items when traveling, and the device turned out to be effective in catching thieves and retrieving lost items from their travels.
Different reports globally helped locate and find the missing baggage lost in the airport, something which helped a lot in expediting the previously slow process of tracking airport thieves.
However, it is not only applicable for baggage but also for cars and other personal belongings that a person owns. People may place it anywhere, and it presents a distinct layer of security to always know where one's possession is at all times.
Some people place it on remote controls, as those are infamous for always disappearing when it is needed.
Lufthansa's previous ban on the Apple AirTags is a massive issue amongst flyers and travelers, particularly as it is something that people rely on and use for their trips. Since these Bluetooth trackers became available, people have used them for all sorts of things, and it is a necessity for some, particularly in traveling, especially to foreign countries.
