Windows 11 Rolls Out Energy Recommendations Feature

ZDNet reports that Microsoft is currently testing out a new Energy Recommendations feature in the Windows 11 update beta.

The Energy Recommendations feature creates suggestions for the user to be able to conserve power and battery usage, such as turning on dark mode, putting the device to sleep after a certain amount of idle time, turning off your screen saver, and more.

The feature allows users to review the recommendations and apply their desired options to save their device's battery life. Additionally, the feature serves as one of Microsoft's environmental efforts.

However, the Energy Recommendations feature will only be available for some users as of now, as it is currently gathering feedback in the beta testing stage.

Microsoft Makes Studio Effects Feature Changes on Windows 11

Another notable feature for the Windows 11 update currently in the Beta channel is a new option for the Windows Studio Effects feature, as it will now be available to access from the Quick Settings in the taskbar, according to XDA.

Windows Studio Effects first arrived with Windows 11's version 22H2. The video effects allow features such as configuring camera effects like background blur, eye contact, automatic framing, and more. Meanwhile, its audio effects allow users to apply Voice Focus during their calls for clearer audio. However, Microsoft's Studio Effects feature is only available on laptops with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

With the Windows Studio Effects feature now easily accessible in the Quick Settings in the taskbar, users who opt for the original settings no not need to worry as the effects feature is still available in its original place from the settings, making the feature a minor change for Windows users.
