Mastodon is seeing complaints from users now regarding its privacy, where there are massive claims regarding a significant issue that talks about moderators of the platform having the capability to read one's DMs. According to the source, Mastodon is "hell," and what was supposedly a Twitter alternative turned out to be a platform that can allegedly ban users if they talk trash about it.

In light of the complaints regarding Mastodon now, Twitter owner and CEO, Elon Musk is rejoicing about the complaints about this, especially as it puts back the spotlight on his platform.

Mastodon, the Twitter Alternative, Has Privacy Issues

A famous verified personality and YouTube content creator, Ian Miles Cheong, has spoken out against Mastodon via Twitter, saying that the alternative platform "is hell," and allegedly has privacy issues.

Cheong claimed that Mastodon has moderators that can read people's DMs, going as far as accessing them on private messages and using them as a reason to ban people from the platform.

Despite advertising itself as an open-sourced platform, there are still certain policies of the company which is a massive threat to people's security in the present.

The content creator also went as far as saying that the platform is the "inverse of Twitter," where people can make fun of different personalities like Elon Musk, and not get a ban.

Elon Musk is Rejoicing on Mastodon's Problem

Chief Twit seems to be enjoying the latest turn of events on Mastodon's problem as a platform, particularly with its alleged privacy issues and unfair moderators that can access people's DMs.

Musk is rejoicing on the allegations against Mastodon now, especially as he claimed that people would eventually return to Twitter, especially to those that left the platform, calling his company a "pharmaceutical-grade crack."

Since Elon Musk has taken over Twitter's management and operations, many deactivated their accounts and fled to other social networking platforms to avoid any implications on his leadership. Some celebrities like Ryan Reynolds have deactivated their Twitter accounts and joined Tumblr, a famous app for microblogging.

Others turned to alternative apps, one which centers on a different focus like a new startup called Mastodon, an open-sourced platform centering on freedom and a way to avoid all the Musk drama on Twitter.

This is in light of the recent issues surrounding Twitter, especially with the takeover of Musk leading to the recent trend that talked about #RIPTwitter which talked about the social media shut down.

Nevertheless, Twitter experienced what initially happened with Facebook, seeing users flee to another platform as they disapprove of its privacy policies and its head, Mark Zuckerberg.

Despite Mastodon being an early platform, it seems like the tables have turned for another time, now favoring Twitter again for users who want privacy and get the freedom they need and were seeking originally. Musk is finding this event amusing for him, and rejoiced on Mastodon's current issues as it faces privacy issues that may bring back lost users to Twitter.
