A new feature is available on WhatsApp and it is a way for you to internalize and give yourself some "me time" for once, with the company calling it "Message Yourself." Yes, it is a feature where users can send messages or media to themselves, a chat where they can keep several information, notes, and documents, or simply put out reminders for themselves.
Normally, people may do this on their Notes app built-in on their smartphone, but when one is using WhatsApp more than others, it is a way to access it without switching apps.
Meta: WhatsApp 'Message Yourself' Feature Coming Soon to Users

WABetaInfo first spotted the new feature on WhatsApp, centering on the "Message Yourself" feature where users may send a message to themselves and have it available on a certain conversation. The feature was once a beta on the app, but the company is bringing it to the public release for many users to experience under "Message Yourself."
Many users already do this without the feature yet, where they send messages to themselves where they can compose what they want to say, or forward messages to keep notes.
Moreover, this is a feature that can also hold reminders for a person, or have a to-do list or guides for their work, something which is accessible for all and is available right in their conversations.

Using 'Message Yourself' on WhatsApp-Different from Signal?
According to TechCrunch, Meta confirmed that it is adding the Message Yourself feature on WhatsApp for the public to use, and it is currently rolling out to users in the present, to both iOS and Android devices.
On the other hand, Signal Messenger also has the same feature called "Note to Self," where there is a dedicated chatbox to save messages or send them for future needs. However, WhatsApp improves this by pinning the self-sent conversation at the top of the page, while Signal's may get lost in the different chatboxes.
Meta's WhatsApp and its Significance Now
WhatsApp seems to still see significance now, as back then, it received massive backlash against its Privacy Policy which would share data on the app with its parent company, Meta. The instant messaging application still centers on the many features it aims to bring the public now, one which puts it in the spotlight for some ingenious and user-worthy features.
One of the company's recent additions is the "Communities" feature where users can flock together in a single group chat that could handle a massive load of users on the platform. It is similar to different features from Meta as well, particularly with Messenger and Facebook which has this available on their platforms, for users to utilize.
Another feature is WhatsApp already blocking screenshots for media sent using the "View Once" feature, disallowing receivers to replicate or produce more copies of the sent items.
WhatsApp is still evolving and is taking different features available and applying it to its platform, for its users' enjoyment and access to the different tools available through the online messaging app. Now, users may message themselves and these sent items would stay at the top of their conversations, giving them easy access to their needs.
